Warranty Work

* Please note that we can only bill a manufacturer for a repair we perform on the bag.

Samsonite
 & American Tourister
- Samsonite and American Tourister luggage basically have a 10 yr warranty.  This 10 yr period begins the day the bag is introduced into the marketplace, or from your date of purchase.  We do not need receipts for Samsonite/American Tourister in order to bill them, but it is recommended if your bag is less than 1 year old, nearing 10 yrs. old, or purchased in another country.  There are some Samsonite that hold a lifetime warranty as well. Timberland bags purchased prior to 2011 are also under the Samsonite label.  We keep a running stock of Samsonite & American Tourister parts.  Warranty Information Page

Travelpro & Atlantic - If your Travelpro luggage has a Limited Lifetime warranty, it is limited to defects in workmanship only and those are expected to be out of the bag by its 5th year of life.  If you have a Flight Crew bag issued by the airlines or purchased at a United Store there is a 3-yr limited warranty.  It is good to get a statement from the airline that states the date of issuance and keep it as your receipt. If you have a Platinum 5 or above, there is a "worry-free" warranty which covers airline damage from commercial carriers and defects in workmanship, but not wear and tear or misuse. This is the only bag style that will really cover wheels; the other Travelpro styles treat wheels similar to that of a car and are most times considered wear and tear. Atlantic bags have a more varied warranty, if we don't have the answer for you at the shop we can get the answer quickly from Travelpro.  We keep a running stock of Travelpro & Atlantic parts.  Warranty Information Page or see here for a basic warranty with Travelpro

Briggs & Riley - Briggs & Riley has a lifetime, no questions asked warranty.  The Luggage Doctor is authorized to perform more repairs than many of their repair centers, however, at a certain point with labor on the bag Briggs & Riley requests we ship them the bag for repair.  The customer is responsible to pay for shipping in these circumstances, and Briggs will pay the return freight.  We can send the bag for you, or you can send it yourself. You will require an approval number from Briggs & Riley.  If you would like us to send your bag to Briggs we charge a $15 handling fee, as we do not get reimbursed for those services. If shipped to a Briggs Company Repair Center they generally ask for 16 days with your bag (3 days there, 3 days back, and 10 working days on site). Briggs & Riley will not cover alterations made to the bag, or handle system upgrades. We keep a running stock of Briggs & Riley parts.  Warranty Information Page

Delsey - Delsey warranties vary per bag and we should be able to tell within a day or two if your bag is still within its warranty period if we don't know immediately. Typically, Delsey only warrants defects. Receipts are helpful if you have them available; they can be emailed/faxed to us as well after-the-fact.  We do not have a running stock of parts on Delsey bags; we order on a case-by-case basis and all parts are ordered for your bag within 24 hours.  Warranty Information Page and see here for what it not covered

Ricardo of Beverly Hills - Ricardo bags have a varied warranty depending on the bag style.  DO NOT RIP OUT YOUR STYLE TAGS FROM THE INNER LINING OF THE BAG BECAUSE IT WILL VOID THE WARRANTY! We need prior approval for repairing a Ricardo under warranty.  If you already have a reference number please bring it with you, if not Ricardo will provide one for us if they warrant the repair. Ricardo only warrants defects.  Warranty Information Page found under "Warranty Repair" section of Ricardo's website

McBrine Luggage - McBrine Luggage warrants defects only and requires prior approval to fixing a bag under warranty. Please bring the bag in for an assessment. If the bag requires a new part, it will need to be ordered as we keep no stock of McBrine parts at the moment.  No direct link to a warranty page at this time

Titan - TitanUSA has a limited lifetime warranty. This covers defects, mechanical, and structural failures, but not third party damage (e.g., airline) or accidents caused by misuse. We will require prior approval to perform a warranty repair, and if parts are necessary we will have to order them as we keep no stock of Titan parts at this time.  Warranty Information Page

Heys USA - Heys USA bag warranties vary per the style of bag you own.  Heys does require us to submit either a copy of the receipt or the original warranty card with the date stamped on it in order to bill them.  These are required if the bag was not a gift.  We have to order parts on a case-by-case basis for Heys, and parts can take two weeks to a month to be received.  We have loaner bags free of charge for you while your bag is waiting; we do require your bag to stay with us so that when the parts come in we can easily match them up and fix your luggage.  We cannot pre-order parts over the phone.  Warranty Information Page

Skyway & Eddie Bauer Skyway manufactures some of Eddie Bauer's luggage. Please bring the bag in for an assessment to see if your Eddie Bauer luggage is covered under Skyway's warranty. Skyway only warrants defects in workmanship and if they have the part available we normally receive it in under a week.  We do not currently keep a running stock of Skyway parts and order on a case-by-case basis. Warranty Information Page
